Oscar Lorenzo Duarte (Cheez) was born on August 10th, 1976 to Rosario D. Duarte and Rebecca C. Duarte. He received his angel wings on Sunday, Dec 3rd, 2017.
He is survived by his brothers; Roberto Duarte, Ruben Duarte, Ramon Duarte, Ricky Duarte and Joey Duarte; His sisters Maria Garner, Rosanna (Lorenzo) Hurtado, Bertha Duarte and Celina (Antonio) Espinosa. He is also survived by his niece Dina (Pablo) Mejia whom he loved as a sister. She gave him a loving home, took care of him and loved him as one of her own. He is survived by his extended family; Deedee, Michael, Australia, Rudy, Pablo, Jr., and Cyria who loved him as a brother. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosario and Rebecca Duarte and his niece Grizelda I. Ortiz.
Oscar loved listening to music, especially Los Bukis, he loved his dog Chica, coffee time, shopping, eating at restaurants, playing bingo, sweeping and he especially loved to sing and dance. He was a happy, kind and loving soul. To know Oscar was to love him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who loved him.
A viewing will be held Friday, December 8th 5:00-9:00 P.M. at the Douglas Visitor Center. A Rosary will be recited Saturday, December 9th 10:30 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers who will serve are Xavier Duarte, Pablo Mejia, Jr., Rudy Mejia, Gabriel Ortega, Cesar Valdez, and Jorge Calzadillas. Honorary Pallbeares are Pablo Mejia, Antonio Espinosa, Victor Ortiz, Lorenzo Hurtado, Joey Duarte, Ricky Duarte, Ramon Duarte, Ruben Duarte, and Roberto Duarte.
