Aurelia Gonzales

Aurelia Carabeo Gonzales blessed this earth for 92 years. On June 4, 2020, Aurelia passed away peacefully in her sleep and rejoined her heavenly family.
Aurelia, a long-time Bisbee resident, was born September 21, 1927, in Dos Cabezas, Arizona.
Aurelia’s greatest love was her family. A consummate wife, mother and grandmother, Aurelia enjoyed being a homemaker sewing, tending to, and cooking meals for her family. When in the kitchen, her hands, clothes and counters would be covered in flour, masa or whatever she was making. Her kitchen tools were her hands - a handful of this, a pinch of that… and a lot of love.
Her enduring faith was another important part of her life. She was a devoted member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed attending services and functions. She blessed her family in many ways figuratively – and literally as she would pray for her loved ones daily.
Aurelia lived a full life, complete with happiness and sorrow.
Her experiences of love, suffering, faith, life and loss are to be honored and her strength will forever be admired.
We can only imagine her soul’s joy as Aurelia is reunited with her husband of 65 years Lorenzo (Cacho) Gonzales, her son “Cachi” Lorenzo Gonzales, Jr, her daughter Grace Webb, and siblings Herberto Carabeo, Juan Carabeo, Ray “Monchi” Carabeo, Jessie Casillas, Anita Valenzuela, and Mary Lou “Licha” Carabeo.
Aurelia’s spirit and family legacy continues on through her 2 sons, Steve (Carmen) Gonzales and Arnold (Irene) Gonzales; 7 loving grandchildren, Diana, Willie, Roseanna, Veronica, Carina, Arnold Anthony, and Jaime; 9 great-grandchildren, Arielle, Brandon, Jamie, Jaime Jr, Amia, Andres, Veranice, Annalise and Felicia and 1 great-great-granddaughter, Ella. Aurelia is also survived by her brother Frank “Pancho” (Tota) Carabeo and sister Angie “Jeli” Casillas.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 13th at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Bisbee, AZ beginning with the viewing at
8:00 am, followed by a Rosary at 8:30 am and funeral service at 9:00 am. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
Pallbearers will be Arnold Anthony Gonzales, Jamie Gonzales, Santiago Sanchez, Brandon Webb, Jamie Webb, and Willie Webb.
