Kenneth Dews

Kenneth "Ken" Dean Dews passed away on December 24, 2025 in Irving, Texas. Ken was born on December 17, 1962 in Douglas, AZ. Ken is preceded in death by his parents Herbert R. and June L. Dews and stepfather A.C. Smith. Also preceding in death are brother Robert L. Pollard, Stanley W. Pollard and Ronald L. Dews. Surviving Ken are brothers Leslie Pollard, Michael Jackson and Julian Dews. Sisters Teddie Pollard, Alice "Wiggy" Dews survives him and cousins Gloria Taylor and Margie Gray, Winnie Williams, Barbara Nelson, nephews Rob Pollard, Avery Burton, Anthony Jackson and nieces Tamala Hill, Naomi Dews, Diana Jackson and Mone' Jackson. Ken in his early years worked at the A.J. Bayless Grocery store and Phelps Dodge Mercantile in Douglas. He worked in corporate levels for Sprint Cellular in Dallas, Texas. He kindly gave his mother the term of endearment "The Blicker". he was a collector of the finer things in life. He will be deeply missed.
Funeral services are Friday, January 9, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Faith Ministries Church in Douglas, AZ. Burial to follow in the family plot in Calvary Cemetery, Douglas. Pallbearers are Namon Washington, Jesus"Coyote" Hernandez, John Owen, Armando Robles, Leon Ford, Avery Burton and George Lomeli. Following the burial friends and family are invited to continue and celebrate Ken's life. Celebration of life will be at the American Legion Fred Hillburn Post 11 at 1325-G Avenue, Douglas, AZ 85607.
