Josefina Elliott

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our cherished mother, Mrs. Josefina Camou Elliott. She was called home on April 19, 2025, surrounded by family who adored her. She was 99 years old.

Josefina was born May 25, 1925 to Horacio and Luz Paz Camou Flores in Agua Prieta Sonora, Mexico. She lived in Esqueda, Culiacan, and Agua Prieta where she met and married Mr. Eduardo Elliott Escudero+. She lived in Douglas Arizona for over 30 years. Josefina was preceded in death by her daughter Luz Maria Espinosa (Alejandro+) and her two grandchildren Cesar Vasquez, Jose Alberto Salcido and her sisters Carlota Camou Caballero and Alicia Camou.

She is survived by her two daughters, Yolanda Montes (Francisco Javier) and Martha Salcido (Jose Alberto+)

Doña Fina, as she was affectionately known, had 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was also a loving aunt, sister and friend.

She very much enjoyed visits from her grandkids, and loved spending afternoons having coffee with her dear family. She had a passion for decorating her home and enjoyed making arts and crafts.

Josefina's journey on this earth was marked by her love towards her family, and her unwavering faith in God.

We find comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on through the lessons she taught us, in her stern words full of advice and the memories we will cherish forever.

Rest in Peace, our Beloved mother- Nana Fina.
