In Loving Memory of Jim Decker

January 9, 1938 - August 30, 2026

James Henry Decker, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and faithful servant of God, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on January 9, 1938, Jim devoted his life to the people and values that mattered most to him: his faith, his family, and living a life of kindness and humility. He was a dedicated employee of Mike Simon Wholesale, where he worked faithfully from 1963 until his retirement in 2003. Jim was a man of quiet strength and a gentle heart. He will be remembered for his kind and humble nature, his dedication to his family, and the love he showed through the simple things he did every day. He never needed recognition or praise. His greatest joy was being a husband, father, and grandfather and knowing that his family was cared for and loved. Jim was a devout Catholic and a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Church, where his faith was an important part of his life. His love for God and his devotion to his family were the foundation upon which he lived. Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Evelyn Decker; his son, Anthony (Roseanne); daughters, Martha (Peter) and Claudia (Dan); and his four grandchildren, Rosemarie, Mark, Ty, and Danny. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughters, Anna Maria and Norma Evelina, and his granddaughter, Christina Marie, whom he now joins in Heaven. Jimmy leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, humility, and devotion to family. His presence will be deeply missed, but the love he gave and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of his family and all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with those he loved who went before him, and held forever in the loving arms of God. A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 18th, followed by an 11:00 a.m. Mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
