Frank E. Knight

d. September 27, 2023

Frank E. Knight, 83, of Bisbee, Arizona, passed away peacefully at Hospice of the Valley on September 27. Frank's warm spirit and engaging personality endeared him to everyone he met.

Frank was a beloved member of the Bisbee community. He will be remembered for his generous spirit and his engaging personality. He and his late wife, Mary Hanigan Knight, loved their Bisbee property, affectionately known as Knight Owl Ranch, where they entertained family, friends, and neighbors for decades before decamping to Sierra Vista.

Frank was born and raised in Buckeye, Arizona. He later moved to Bisbee to work construction and eventually began his long career as an Allstate insurance agent. He was an avid pilot and flew numerous miles to serve his customers and even donate goods to those in need. After retiring from insurance, Mary and Frank operated the Bisbee Dairy Queen for many years.

Frank was a strong supporter of the Bisbee community. He donated his time and money to his church and a number of local charities and communities, including the Bisbee Lions Club, and served two terms as president of the Bisbee Chamber of Commerce. Frank also coached girls’ softball and rodeoed with his daughters. He loved taking them to games or trailering horses about for them when they were young.

He is survived by his two daughters, Brenda Morrison of Reno, Nevada, and Barbi Walsh of Tempe, Arizona, and grandson Henry, also of Tempe. Frank will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
