Blanca Escarcega

It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Blanca J. Escarcega, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the age of 91. A long-time resident of Bisbee, Blanca leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness.

Blanca is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Francisco A. Escarcega, with whom she shared 66 wonderful years of marriage, and her cherished son, Miguel Angel Escarcega. Her loving children survive her: Art (Lori) Escarcega, Stella (Tom) Eichacker, Frank Escarcega, Elena (David) Ayala, Jesse (Nubia) Escarcega, Myrna (Dan) Acuña, Luz (Larry) Smith, and Carmen (Richard) Rivera. She was also the proud grandmother of 26 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition, Blanca is survived by her brother, Martin (Carolina) Gomez.

A revered member of her community, Blanca was known for her tender spirit and nurturing ways. She found immense joy in cultivating her beautiful garden and was well-loved for her delicious homemade tortillas and tamales, which brought joy to many in the Bisbee area. Her generous heart and unwavering patience touched the lives of all who knew her.

Services honoring Blanca's life will be held on Wednesday, December 10th, at St. Patrick's Church, located at 100 Quality Hill Road in Bisbee. The viewing will take place from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m., followed by the Rosary from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m., with Mass to follow.

Blanca's family takes comfort in knowing her love will remain with them forever.

She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
