Obituary

In Loving Memory of Alfredo F. Rubio
Alfredo F. Rubio, beloved father, abuelo, hermano, and friend, passed away peacefully on the morning of September 30, 2026, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tucson, Arizona. He was 77 years old.
Alfredo was born on January 12, 1949, in Esqueda, Sonora, Mexico. He was the second eldest of eight children: Magdalena, Francisca, Gabriel, Antonia, Fabian, Martina, and Ramon Mario. He was preceded in death by his brothers Gabriel and Ramon Mario.
Alfredo spent most of his life in Douglas, Arizona, and was a man of many hats. He was also a gifted musician with "golden pipes," and later in life devoted his musical talents to serving the Catholic Church.
Those who knew Alfredo will remember his generous heart and his willingness to help anyone in need. He was the kind of man who would gladly take the shirt off his back for someone else. Even through life's hardships, he had a special ability to find humor and bring laughter to those around him.
Alfredo was the father of five children: 4 with his first wife, Sandra: Claudia, Clarinda, Carina, and Alfredo Jr., and 1 with his second wife, Amanda: Amandita whom he was married to for over 40 years. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren. His family was blessed by his love, his stories, his music, and the countless memories he created throughout his life.
Alfredo leaves behind a legacy of faith, generosity, humor, music, and love. His voice may be silent, but the songs he shared, the laughter he brought, and the kindness he showed will live on in all those who knew and loved him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
May he rest in eternal peace.
(I love you, dad.)
