Aida R Saavedra

Aida Saavedra, age 94, was called home to Heaven on January 21, 2026. She was born on June 19, 1931, in Douglas, Arizona, to Armando Ramirez and Maria Jesus Villa. An only child, Aida, grew up attending Douglas public schools and later dedicated her life to being a loving homemaker and the heart of her family. Aida was a devoted mother to nine children and a cherished Nana to generations who followed. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved family gatherings filled with laughter, music, and dancing. She also enjoyed shopping, visiting casinos, and embracing life with enthusiasm and style. She was a D-Backs fan and often cheered for "Marte". Aida was known for her beauty, wit, and wonderful sense of humor-qualities that made her unforgettable to all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving children: Gilbert Estrada (Silvia), Estella Morales, Letty Medrano, Lydia Gibbons (Dirk), Lucy Caro (Ruben), and Rene Estrada (Bertha); along with 27 grandchildren and countless great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren who will continue to carry her legacy of love for family.

Aida was preceded in death by her parents, Armando and Maria Jesus Ramirez; her daughters, Yolanda Alvarado and Terry Llanes; her son, Frank Estrada, Daughter-in-law Celina Estrada and Son-in-law David Morales.

She leaves behind a family forever grateful for her strength, laughter, and unconditional love. Mom, we will miss you and love you forever.
