Roberto C. Easterbrooks

Roberto C. Easterbrooks went to be with our lord on March 3, 2017 at his home. He was born on June 29, 1977 in Douglas to Cecilia and Robert Easterbrooks.
He grew up in Douglas and attended Loreto Catholic School and graduated from Douglas High School in 1996.
Roberto joined the service and served his Country honorably earning the rank of Sergeant. His bravery during the Iraq War earned him an Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War On Terrorism Medal and Armed Forces Reserve Medal W/M Devices. He was a Chemical Operations Specialist, and was part of the Protective Service Detail and had been appointed as Protective Service Agent for The Commanding General of the Third United States Army Europe; conducting many missions while in combat as a personal guard for the Commanding General. He was Honorably Discharged from the United States Army as a Non Commission Officer. Upon returning from combat, and ending his 11 year enlistment from the Army, he attended the Border Patrol Training Academy, and successfully transitioned to a new career as a Border Patrol Agent serving nine years as an agent.
He then moved back to Douglas with his loving family, where he continued working at several different locations. Roberto never met anyone who did not consider him as a friend the first time around and was known for helping anyone he came in contact with. He loved spending time with people, and was very close to his family. He and his dog "patches" were well known in Douglas.
Roberto is preceded in death by his grandparents Fred and Betty Easterbrooks, Manuel Lopez Cristerna and Petra Fraijo Lopez; mother-in-law Ana Hurtado
He is survived by his mother and father Cecilia and Robert Easterbrooks, Son, Robert Nicholas and his wife Ana Celia, both of Douglas, two brothers Alex and Freddy (Myra) Easterbrooks, Father-in-law Jose Hurtado of Douglas and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
A rosary for Roberto will be on Friday, March 10,2017-7 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mass will follow on Saturday, March 11, 2017-11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. The burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery presiding the funeral services. Alex Espinosa Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral services, 520-432-4242.
